Ashton & Lea Golf Club are pleased to announce that in line with the club’s restructuring plans and with effect from May 1st 2009, the club has agreed in principle to take over the responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Professional Shop and selection of the outlet stock.
We are also delighted to announce that Mike Greenough will remain as Head PGA Professional, furthering his long association with Ashton and Lea golf club. From May 1st, Mike will be responsible to the Club General Manager and will assume complete responsibility for the management of the Professionals shop on the club’s behalf.
Additionally, Mike will be supported by Daniel Clark, who will remain as our PGA Assistant Professional. Mike and Daniel will become direct employees of the golf club from May 1st 2009.
These key appointments will not only provide stability through and beyond the current economic downturn, but also represent an exciting opportunity for Members to support the club in the development of our facilities in the period leading up to our Centenary in 2013.
Mike will continue to provide his services as Head PGA Professional to the golf club until the 30th April. In this period, all the statutory requirements will be finalised and the shop layout and stock will be reviewed ready for opening on 1st May 2009.
We expect that any potential disruption of service to members will be kept to a minimum particularly during the month of April 2009. However, if any member has any queries or problems associated with this announcement or the transition to the new venture, please do not hesitate to contact either the Club General Manager or Mike Greenough.
