Captain's Day for Ladies

Sunday 1st June 2025

Despite a damp forecast, the weather stayed mostly dry as 42 ladies competed in the second major of the season at Ashton & Lea Golf Club. Hosted by Mr Captain Frank Leach, the day featured great golf, strong turnout, and superb hospitality. Andrea Kershaw claimed 1st Overall with a net 63, while Katherine Reynolds secured Best Gross. A big thank you to Captain Frank for his warm welcome and support — a fantastic day enjoyed by all!

Lady Vice Captain's Day 2025

Held on Saturday 10th May, Lady Vice Captain’s Day marked a fantastic start to the season’s major competitions at Ashton & Lea Golf Club. Glorious sunshine and a strong turnout set the tone for a brilliant day, with June Deveney providing a warm welcome and superb hospitality. From tee-time refreshments to a delightful afternoon tea for special guests, the event was filled with great spirits and camaraderie. Congratulations to all the prize winners, and a big thank you to June for hosting such a memorable day!

Clubhouse Dress Code

A minimum requirement of smart clean dress code is required in all areas of the Clubhouse. 

Please ensure that the Club Dress Code policy is adhered to in order to prevent any refusal.


Shirts / T Shirts

  • Shirts, T Shirts (Collared, roll or crew neck tops) are permitted to be worn within the Clubhouse facility.
  • No football, rugby shirts or tee shirts with no sleeves or offensive pictures or prints.

Trousers / Shorts

  • Smart Casual trousers including demin jeans with no rips may be worn.
  • Tailored, Jean or golf shorts are allowed
  • Gargo, Combat pants or shorts, football and rugby shorts are not permitted

Footwear

  • Spike-less clean Golf shoes, traditional shoes, casual trainers, boat or driving shoes are acceptable. Open toeds sandals may be worn by either gender.

General Rules

  • No waterproofs, rain or head wear permitted.
  • The Club provides changing room facilities that are acceptable for members, guests and visitors. If you wish to use such facility, please speak to a member of staff and they will provide any assitance required.
  • Ashton & Lea Gol Club reserves the right to refuse admission if a director or authorised employee feels an individual is not dressed appropriately or has not adhered to the Club Dress Code Policy.
  • The dress code for special events may, at times, require alternative dress code. The requirements will be advertised prior to any event taking place.
