The Range

The range comprises 14 floodlit bays (9 covered Toptracer bays and 5 none Toptracer bays in the open), and a target area that will cater for the 300+yd "big-hitters".

There is also a fully equiped swing coaching studio and CAPTO Putting Studio which can be booked for all types of indiviual and group lessons, with our Head PGA coach, Gary Edge, who can be contacted on 07967 777067 or please visit his website for more information :  https://www.garyedgeschoolofgolf.co.uk/ 

There is free parking, and loan clubs are available to use.  

If the weather is bad and the course is closed, come and have some fun and practice at the same time.

The Range Opening Times: 

Ashton & Lea Driving Range is open to all members of the public. 

Please note: Last Balls 30 minutes before closing. Bank Holiday hours as Sunday

Ball Availability & Pricing

High quality Srixon golf balls will be utilised in the Driving Range. The ball dispensing machine is located within the Driving Range (enter via reception and turn right) and accepts contactless payment via debit/credit card and via the Golfmore App.

Alternatively speak to Gary Edge (Head Coach and Academy Manager) or pop into the Pro Shop to purchase credits for use on the range.

Driving Range Rules

The driving range is used at your own risk. Ashton and Lea Golf Club does not accept any responsibility or liability to damage to personal equipment or injury caused during the use of the facilities. 

• PLAY ONLY ALLOWED OFF THE MATS

  • Please only use the use the designated bays and play off the mats provided. Tees of different sizes are available in all bays. 

• ONLY USE DRIVING RANGE BALLS

  • Please do not use your own balls on the Driving Range or Practise Bunker - Range Balls only

• DO NOT RETRIEVE OR PICK UP ANY BALLS

  • Once your balls have been hit, please do not try and retrieve, even if close to the bays.

• OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE AND ABUSIVE BEHAVIOUR

  • Anybody found using excessive offensive language or showing abusive behaviour to staff or other users of the range, will be asked to leave.

• CONSIDERATION TO OTHER USERS

  • There is no dress code on the range but please ensure tops and footwear remain on at all times

  • Please be considerate to other users, if people are waiting for a bay, please vacate your bay as soon as you've finished your practise.

• JUNIOR GOLFERS

  • Juniors are more than welcome at the Driving Range, but we ask that any Junior under 12 years of age be accompanied by an adult.
