Gary Edge PGA Professional

Gary Joins us with over 35 of experience.  In 1983 he qualified as a PGA Professional, reaching PGA Level 3 in 2008, specialising in the fundamentals of the golf swing and the short game.  He has both wide experience of high volume teaching to individual specialised technique development. Taking all of this experience into account, Gary as taken the opportunity to establish the  Gary Edge School of Golf  here at the Ashton & Lea Golf Club.

Gary has coached at all levels - from beginners through to county and professional players - and his focus is in allowing people to develop at a pace which the individual grows in both confidence and capability.

His 35 years of experience have taught him that for many golfers, the game can be complicated and difficult to learn, however through the adoption of his golf skills development approach, the journey is broken down into the individual elements of the game, so that the necessary focus can be applied to the areas needing most attention, this can be from basic grip or stance, to bunker or approach play.  However, whatever the help or guidance is needed, Gary's experience, can help over these deficiencies.

Gary provides one-to-one coaching along with group sessions and has developed a reputation for taking the philosophies, techniques and educational mediums of recognised coaching experts within the field of golf and incorporating them into his teaching strategies  for the students of today.   Through his guidance and experience, many have gone onto to progress in the game of golf, not only in the understanding and capabilities of the game, but through the enjoyment and challenge of the game.

Gary will supervise all the coaching and teaching operations at the Ashton & Lea Golf Club, whilst also concentrating on management and development of the Driving Range and Short Game Practice area.
