Ashton & Lea Golf Club was delighted to host Burns Night 2026 on Saturday, welcoming around 70–80 guests for a thoroughly enjoyable evening celebrating Scottish tradition, great food and live entertainment.
The evening began with the traditional piping in of the haggis, followed by the Address to the Haggis and a whisky toast, setting the tone for a warm and authentic Burns Night celebration. Guests then enjoyed a superb four-course dinner, expertly prepared by our new caterer Keith Spencer, which received very positive feedback throughout the night.
One of the highlights of the evening was the traditional toasts, with Captain Frank Leach delivering an entertaining toast to the Lasses, followed by Lady Captain Anne Graham responding with a toast to the Laddies. These were met with plenty of laughter and applause and added greatly to the enjoyment of the evening.
Live entertainment followed, keeping the celebrations going well into the late evening and rounding off a memorable social event at the Club.
