LADIES UPCOMING COMPETITIONS

There are no competitions currently scheduled

Here are some quick links to other ladies competition information on the website:

This is the current World Handicap Index (WHI) Listing for all lady members - please check with the Profesional to confirm whether you have 8 qualifying competition scores to allow entry into certain competitions and knockouts.

This is a singles knockout matchplay with your WHI and 100% of the course Handicap. Each player must have a club handicap. (i.e. 8 competition cards). Allowance is the full difference between the handicaps of the players. Max playing handicap is 40. The first round losers may then be entered in the Plate Competition, (depending on numbers) again same format as the Main Draw.

This is a doubles (better ball) knockout matchplay competition with your WHI and 100% of the course Handicap. Each player must have a club handicap. (i.e. 8 competition cards). Allowance is the full difference between the player with the lowest handicap and the handicaps of the other players - the player with the lowest handicap has no shots. Max playing handicap is 40.

This is a Foursomes knockout match play competition that runs throughout the season. Each pair must comprise of one lady member and one gentleman member, each with a club handicap. (i.e. 8 competition cards). Play is to be as per the Foursomes format, i.e. alternate strokes. Ladies will play from the red blocks and gents from the white stones, the order of play off the first tee being the players' choice. The handicap limits are 24 for men and 40 for ladies. The handicap allowance is 1/2 difference of the aggregate handicaps of each side.

CLUB KNOCKOUT COMPETITION RULES

The knockout entry fee must be paid before the draw is made.  In order to ensure that the competition is completed on time, it is important that each round is completed by the due date published on the draw sheet.  It is the responsibility of the first named pair in each tie to contact the second named pair in order to arrange a suitable time and date to play the match.  However, if the second pair have not been contacted, then they should assume some responsibility and attempt to contact the first named pair.  If no suitable date can be found then the match will be played on the final day allowed. The relevant player(s) will report to the Club Professional's shop at 5.00 pm on the day and play will commence as and when the first tee becomes free. Should only one team/player turn up they may claim the match.   There will be no extensions granted , therefore if the match is not played or claimed as above, both teams will be "˜scratched' and a bye awarded.

In the event of the match being all square after completion of eighteen holes play, the match will be decided by a "˜sudden-death' play-off, handicap strokes to be taken as per the first eighteen holes of play.
